Servings 2 margaritas

Equipment

  • cocktail shaker with strainer lid large sized (17-24 ounces)
  • jigger or liquid ounce measuring shot glass
  • margarita glasses
  • cocktail skewers for garnish if desired optional
  • ice cubes

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces Reposado tequila
  • 2 ounces Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 ounce caramel liqueur
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 1 ounce lime juice (freshly squeezed)

Garnishes

  • 1 granny smith apple (sliced in wedges)
  • caramel sauce
  • flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • If garnishing, slice a granny smith apple in wedges, skewer a couple wedges, and then drizzle with caramel.
  • Prepare 2 margarita glasses by rimming with caramel sauce and sprinkling flaky sea salt (optional) over top. Add ice. Set aside or place in the freezer to chill the glasses while you mix up the margaritas.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add apple cider, Reposado tequila, Cointreau/triple sec, caramel liqueur, and lime juice. Fill with ice, then shake vigorously until the liquids are all combined - about 10 seconds.
  • Using the strainer, pour cocktail mix in prepared margarita glasses over ice, dividing evenly between the two glasses.
  • Add caramel apple skewer if using. Enjoy!

Notes

Please note: This recipe makes two margaritas. Feel free to halve the recipe to make only one margarita. Additionally you can batch the recipe by increasing the liquids in equal ratios.
