Servings 100 1.5 inch frozen treats

Ingredients

  • cups plain nonfat yogurt (*be sure to use yogurt that is safe for dogs.)
  • 1 cup pure pumpkin puree (*NOT pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1 tablespoon organic ground turmeric (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons organic spirulina powder (optional. I use Wholistic Pet Organics brand for dogs.)

Instructions

  • Prepare all of your silicone molds out on baking sheets so that they are easy to transfer to the freezer.
  • Set out two separate bowls. In one bowl mix 2 cups yogurt, pumpkin, and turmeric together in until completely combined. In the other bowl mix remaining ½ cup of yogurt and spirulina until uniform.
  • Place pumpkin turmeric yogurt mixture in a super large piping bag and put spirulina yogurt mixture in another smaller piping bag. You can also use plastic zip top bags if you do not have piping bags.
  • Add a tiny amount of green spirulina yogurt mixture into each silicone mold. Then top off and fill each mold with the orange pumpkin yogurt mixture until all molds are filled.
  • Carefully grab each silicone mold from both ends and tap down on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles and level out the treats. Now place in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours before removing treats from the molds.
  • Once treats are completely frozen, remove treats out of the molds and store in airtight containers in the freezer until ready to be given as a treat.
